That says to me "Earth's magnetic field shifted and a lightning storm of epic proportions knocked out the electrical grid on the planet plunging everyone into the stone age. While people questioned what was going on, people with fruit trees and pineapples were okay because they could trade for food. Since they were happy, they held plays by moonlight during the summer and waited for the power to come back on."
